The Waiting Season

I wonder what would happen if you
Say what you wanna say
And let the words fall out
Honestly I wanna see you be brave…
lyrics from the song Brave by Sara Bareilles

Sometimes it is hard to be the person you need me to be…

The dance can reveal everything mysterious that is hidden in music,
and it has the additional merit of being human and palpable.
Dancing is poetry with arms and legs.
Charles Baudelaire

Sometimes you can’t help but dance to the music…

I used to dream about escaping my ordinary life, but my life was never ordinary. I had simply failed to notice
how extraordinary it was. Likewise, I never imagined that home might be something I would miss.

Now and then I think of when we were together
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
Told myself that you were right for me
But felt so lonely in your company
But that was love and it’s an ache I still remember.
lyrics from Somebody That I Used To Know by Gotye

We are now just points on each other’s timelines.

Something to believe in
for even a night
One night may be forever
but that’s alright, that’s alright
And if you’re gone tomorrow
what was ours still will be
I have something to believe in
now that I know you believed in me.
from Something to Believe In – Newsies the musical

I am glad that I had your love – even for just a little while.

Lady Marmalade, One Day I'll Fly Away, Photography

© Vanessa

One day I’ll fly away
Leave all this to yesterday
Why live from dream to dream?
And dread the day when dreaming ends…
from One Day I’ll Fly Away – sung by Nicole Kidman

I got caught up in the nostalgia of my last post and set off to the salon to recapture the same sun kissed hair color of my younger years. Who knows what happened in the mixing of the chemicals, but I left the salon with hair the color of marmalade preserve!

I wanna watch you undress
I wanna watch you glow
Let your hair down
All around, cover us both
You come in a wave
We crash and we roll
You surround me, pull me, drown me, swallow me whole.
from the song Run by Matt Nathanson

I love it when you run your fingers through my hair…

Did I Make the Most of Loving You, Downton Abbey, Fashion, Lauren DiMarco, Mary Jess, Masterpiece Theatre, Photography, Theme song of Downton Abbey

© Moja Maat

Did I make the most of loving you?
So many things we didn’t do.

Did I give you all my heart could give?
Two unlived lives with lives to live.
When these endless, lonely days are through,
I’ll make the most of loving you.
I’ll make the most of loving you.
From Downtown Abbey, composer- John Lunn, lyrics – Don Black
Sung by Mary Jess

Counting the minutes until we are together again…
